Candidates
Most candidates don’t have a great experience with recruiters.
They get pushed into roles that don’t make sense.
They get vague feedback — or none at all.
And once a role is filled, the relationship disappears.
We represent our clients — but we don’t treat candidates like transactions.
How we approach candidate relationships
We work the same way with candidates as we do with our clients — with a long-term view.
When you talk to us, you’re talking to people who understand your background — not just your job title. We know what a CA Manager actually does on a job site. We know the difference between a PA at a 20-person firm and one at a 200-person firm. You won’t spend the first ten minutes of a call explaining your resume to someone who doesn’t understand the industry.
- We don’t push roles that aren’t a fit
- We don’t “sell” opportunities to close a placement
- We give direct, honest feedback — even when it’s not what you want to hear
- If a role isn’t right, we’ll tell you
Because the goal isn’t just to make a move. It’s to make the right move.
What working with us actually looks like
- Conversations focused on your experience — not just open roles
- Introductions to firms where you actually align
- Clear communication throughout the process
- Respect for your time — no unnecessary steps or noise
Why this matters
The AEC industry is smaller than it looks.
The Project Architect you work with today could be the Principal making hiring decisions in ten years. Reputations carry. Relationships matter.
We take that seriously — which is why we approach every candidate conversation the same way we approach client relationships.
If you’re exploring a move
We’re always open to connecting — whether you’re actively looking or just trying to understand the market.
No hard sell. Just a straight conversation.
Common questions
Do I pay anything to work with you?
No. Candidates are never charged. Our fee comes from the hiring firm.
Will you submit my resume without telling me?
No. We won’t submit you anywhere without your knowledge and approval first. That’s a common agency practice we don’t follow.
What if a role isn’t a fit?
We’ll tell you. We’d rather be direct upfront than move forward on something that doesn’t make sense for you.
Do you only work with active job seekers?
No. We’re happy to connect with people who are just exploring the market or want to understand what’s out there. No pressure, no timeline.
What kinds of firms do you work with?
Architecture, engineering, and construction firms — typically small to mid-sized. If you have AEC experience, you’re likely in our wheelhouse.
What happens after a placement?
The relationship doesn’t end there. We stay in touch — because today’s candidate is often tomorrow’s hiring manager. The AEC industry is small, and we treat it that way.
